Michael G. Vergano, founder and President, has a distinguished career of executive management positions in the medical device industry.  Mike Vergano has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and 22 years experience in the medical device and consumer products industries.  He has a proven track record of progressive contributions to product development, business growth, operations efficiencies, and profit enhancement.  He has been involved in medical device start-ups.  His medical device experience covers the areas of gynecology, laparoscopic surgery, GI endoscopy, dental imaging, and urinary incontinence.  Product involvement includes fiberoptic catheters, balloon dilatation catheters, billiary cutting and retrieval devices, laparoscopic scissors, clip appliers and grasping/dissecting devices, electrocautery and hemostasis devices, dental imaging devices and external urinary incontinence devices.  He excels in research & development, product design, operations, sales and marketing.  He also has a strong background and exposure to regulatory and quality issues.  For the past eight years, Mr. Vergano has functioned as a product development and operations business consultant to companies in the medical and consumer product markets as President of The Harvest Group, Inc.  Prior to 1998, Mr. Vergano was Director of Operations and Product Development at Apple Medical, Inc. and its division INSIGHT Medical, Inc.  He led the overhaul of both companies’ Regulatory Affairs and Quality programs, resulting in successful FDA audits of both divisions.  Apple Medical manufactures and markets laparoscopic surgical devices.  Its division, INSIGHT Medical, Inc., develops and manufactures urinary incontinence devices.  Prior to 1994, Mr. Vergano successfully served in several engineering management roles in the medical industry for Ciba Corning Diagnostics, Microsurge, Inc. and Boston Scientific Corporation.  At Boston Scientific, he also achieved top performance recognition as a sales territory manager for its Microvasive GI Endoscopy Division, the same division for which he served in engineering management capacities for the five years prior.  He is a recognized and acknowledged engineering and product development leader in the medical industry.  He is the holder of eleven medical device patents.

Ernani C. Vergano, Principle Engineer, has over 45 years experience and an extensive background in development and process engineering, manufacturing management systems, materials management, and project management.  Strong working knowledge of financial systems and cost accounting.  Ernie Vergano has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  He is also a Licensed Professional Engineer.  His previous positions include Vice President Operations (VR Industries, Inc &  Tecomet Div. of Thermo Electron, Inc).  Hr has also served a Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Engineering.  His professional experience covers the areas precision machined metal components, electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies, and large scale automated plating systems to the medical, defense, electronics, aircraft, automotive and commercial markets.
